My Top 8 Favorite Baby Products

There are hundreds of baby products out there, and as a mother I often get asked the question, “What are some of your favorite baby products?” and “What are the must haves?” I don’t think I could ever answer these questions adequately, but I will attempt to help some of my new mom friends out in this post by highlighting my absolute favorite baby products.

The thing about baby products is, there’s a million things you will need, and then there’s many things you won’t need but you’ll probably buy, and then on top of that, there’s an array of brands for everything. Best piece of advice I can give is, try to keep it simple and read reviews for products on trusted sites before purchasing.

Here’s a look at some of my favorite products:

Graco Click n’ Connect Double Stroller

My all time favorite brand for baby gear is Graco. It’s durable, affordable and I’ve never been disappointed with their products. Now this one is for mothers with two babies/toddlers, but it is a godsend. I’ve got two kids that are 17 months apart and I couldn’t operate without my double stroller. This stroller is perfect because it can accommodate up to two Graco Click n’ Connect infant car seats, and your child can ride in a standing position as well.

Note: This stroller is pretty huge, it needs altering to fit into most trunks that aren’t spacious SUV’s. There are youtube videos to explain the best way to fold it up and pack it away.

Graco Forever Car Seat

I bought two Graco Forevers for each of my daughters, and it is seriously a great car seat. It is pricey though, but totally worth it because it grows with your child. I’m sure the competitors are pretty good too, but I prefer Graco above all else. I bought this seat twice when each of my daughters turned 10-11 months, and I waited till I had accumulated enough rewards/coupons from Babies R Us because it is pricey!!

Graco Baby swing

I loved using the Graco baby swing for both of my kids. It’s comfortable, and swings in two directions. I used the swing until my daughters were about 6-7 months, basically until they started getting mobile enough to throw themselves onto the floor. I remember swaddling them and putting them in the swing to fall asleep helped them stay asleep longer.

Fisher Price Jumparoo Baby Bouncer

When my daughter turned 4 months, I got her this bouncer so that she could be entertained with her own toys while my elder one played. I liked this one because of the positive reviews and my daughter really enjoyed playing in it. Not to mention, my elder daughter also enjoyed playing with the toys in the front.

Video baby monitor

I think the one product that I highly recommend is a video monitor. I use a Summer Infant Video Monitor for both my girls and I own 2 cameras that both connect to one monitor, so that I can scan both rooms on one device. This is VERY convenient for me, and I use it everyday. Yes, I have had some issues with it like the monitor not charging, needing to be replaced, etc. but I’ve always found Summer Customer Service very good. I do recommend a video monitor over audio, only because my kids tend to wake up quietly and sit on the bed, waiting quietly so I might not hear them on a audio monitor.

Summer Infant Bath Seat

I love this bath seat! Its soft net is very comfortable for babies to sit in. I started using it in my kids’ infancy up until toddlerhood. For my elder daughter, I put her in it at the age of 2 so that I could wash her hair away from her face. (She HATES getting water in her eyes)

Boppy Nursing Pillow

I love love love my boppy pillow for nursing my babies, and then letting them rest on it for a nap. This pillow if used to position your baby correctly while nursing allows you to be comfortable, which is so important. Definitely recommending this product to all moms!

Soho Baby Bag

A chic, functional baby bag is an absolute must! This one is great, available on Amazon.

      • Aveeno baby wash & lotion
      • Dreft Laundry Detergent
      • Medela breast pump

  1. I second the Jumparoo, it was great when my little boy was a similar age! I didn’t get a video monitor but would definitely consider it if there is a next time – especially if you could connect two cameras, very clever. Thanks for posting this list!

  2. This is a fab list, its been six years since I had my on and I have forgot everything useful! I had no clue about baby swings when I first had my son, bought one second hand and then was AMAZED at home good it was at settling him. I just bought myself a nursing pillow ready and know its going to be so helpful Fab post #Thelistlinky

  3. This reveiw looks amazing to me. I was infact looking for some serious advice on baby products as i m expecting next month. Good to read this👍

  4. When my two were smaller I absolutely loved making baby purchases, (maybe a bit too much – slight obsession with prams!) a list like this is so helpful as so much of what we had was never used. We also had a jumperoo which was worth its weight in gold to us! I love your tip about looking on You Tube to find tutorials on how to fit the pram into the boot-I had a few incidences in which I purchased one then realised I couldn’t fit it into my tiny Polo boot! #thesatsesh
